Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a Reconnection Retreat you are agreeing to all terms and conditions stated below.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Welcome to Reconnection Retreats (“We”, “Us”). By proceeding to purchase any of the Reconnection Retreats service(s), the Customer (“You”) acknowledge and agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Our Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time, after providing notice to you. You agree to be bound by any future amendments made to the Terms and Conditions.

Booking

Booking is not considered definite, and no contract will exist until we receive your first payment. We do not share customer details with any third parties, other than for legitimate interest. Payment
The price is the exact amount to be received in full by us in GBP.

If you are paying in instalments through an agreed payment plan, the full payment amount is due 70 days or more before the first day of the retreat.

If full payment is not made 70 days or more prior to the start date of our retreat it will be assumed that you wish to cancel your booking without refund of your original deposit.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance is not included in the price of the retreat and highly recommended. If you choose to buy insurance please ensure that your travel insurance covers the activities of this retreat as well as unexpected cancellation, sickness, losses and all other risks associated with traveling and taking part in the retreat. You should bring your own travel insurance policy with you in case of an emergency.

Health & safety

You will be asked to advise us of any mental or physical health conditions, allergies and dietary requirements before you book. If you have health conditions and dietary requirements that may be affected by the activities offered on our retreats we reserve the right to advise you to desist and in the interests of your health, or others, we may decline your stay at our retreats.

You must sign and return a Liability Waiver and Retreat Contract BEFORE the retreat start date.

It is your responsibility to let us know if you have any injuries. If you experience any injury or discomfort during any activity during the retreat, then you must desist immediately.

Whilst all measures are taken to ensure a high standard of health and safety, we are often situated in the countryside where the land is uneven and we shall not be responsible for any injuries caused by uneven terrain.

We shall not be held responsible for any injuries sustained during our retreat activities.

Covid

All deposits are non-refundable. This includes all Covid related cancellations including, but not limited to travel changes/cancellations/delays, illness, lock downs, quarantines, border closings, travel requirements etc.

Reconnection Retreats is not responsible nor liable for any retreat participant who contracts Covid before, during, or after the retreat.

Cancellation by you

You may cancel your booking at any time, providing that the cancellation is made to us in writing. Cancellation will take effect the day such notification is received by us.

If you cancel more than 70 days before the retreat start date, you may request a partial refund (less a cancellation fee equal to the deposit).

All retreat payments become non-refundable less than 70 days before the retreat start date. Refunds are made minus any applicable / relevant bank charges or card payment fees.

Bookings are for the stated period of the retreat. There are no refunds for an unused portion of the retreat. If the reason for cancellation is covered under the terms of your Insurance Policy, you may be able to make a claim on your own insurance.

Amendments by us

Occasionally, changes may have to be made (e.g., activities, class times or other arrangements), which we reserve the right to do at any time. If your accommodation has to be changed, we will do our utmost to provide accommodation of a similar standard. If a significant change becomes necessary, we will inform you as soon as possible before the retreat.

Cancellation by us

We reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel a retreat. If the retreat is at half capacity or less 90 days prior to the retreat start date, we reserve the right to cancel the event. All deposits are non- refundable but can be credited against an alternative retreat. We will make every effort to offer an alternative date, if we do then money paid will be credited against this.

Our liability to you

We accept responsibility for ensuring that the retreats are supplied as described and that the services we are contractually obliged to provide are to a reasonable standard.

We do not accept any liability for cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, technical problems to transport, staff cancellations, unforeseen changes in your personal circumstances or other events beyond our control.

We are not liable for any injuries you may incur. Retreat activities are undertaken at your own risk. We are not liable for any medical or psychiatric conditions, which may develop during or subsequent to the retreat.

Subject to the above, our entire liability in respect of all claims arising out of or in connection with this agreement or other services (whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise) in any period of 12 calendar months shall not exceed an amount equal to the sums received by or due to us from you during this period.

Rooms

All rooms are first come, first serve so the sooner you sign up, the more likely your needs will be fulfilled. If you do not have a roommate, you will be paired with another guest who is not yet assigned a roommate, unless you have purchased a sole occupancy room.

No liability for possessions

It is your responsibility to ensure that your possessions are kept safe at all times. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings during the retreat.

Your travel arrangements

All travel arrangements are your responsibility and at your own cost. We shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from delays or cancellations in any of the companies you may have made arrangements with, or for any irregularities in your documentation required for travel. Transfers to/from the retreat are at your own cost, unless otherwise specified.

Third party vendors

During the retreats, there will be third-parties providing services, including accommodation and catering. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any of these third parties. Although we strive to provide the best services and products available, we have no control over such third parties and are not responsible or liable for any products, materials, or services, or the lack thereof. You further acknowledge and agrees that we are not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damages or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on such third parties, goods or services.

Complaints

If you have a problem during your retreat, please inform the retreat host immediately and they will endeavor to put things right. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for the individual behaviour of any group member or other guest sharing your accommodation.

Governing law and jurisdiction

All terms of these Terms and Agreements shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The parties hereby submit to the sole and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales with respect to any action, suit or proceeding arising out of or relating to Reconnection Retreats.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of these Terms and Conditions which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of these Terms and Conditions are severable. In lieu thereof, there shall be added a provision as similar in terms to such illegal, invalid and unenforceable provision as may be possible and be legal, valid and enforceable.
